Life @ UBS

Anshul Chhabra | MBA-HR 2012-14
Dreams, revamped and redesigned, made an appearance as reality, as one entered the hallowed halls of this institute renowned for its technical and management education. One puts in one’s best foot forward in a B-school with dreams like studying a lot, becoming a topper, reading lots of books, participating in B-schools fests, along with enjoying the last two years of academic life with good bunch of friends, and finally securing a good job in an MNC. Sooner than later one realizes that the SWOT analysis one did for the GD/PI process was a kinder Garden exercise and was way different from the naked truth.

The initiative

Abhinav Chauhan | MBA-IB 2012-14
As human beings, it is amongst our natural instincts to grow in multi dimensions. We tend to accumulate past experiences and culminate them in order to hone our current skill sets and understandings. When it comes to understanding management holistically and gaining education therein (or MBA as we term it), the idea is to let all the guards down and look with varied perspectives. What that would ideally mean is to question the very theories of foundation, giving texts a meaning beyond obvious and being observant of the human behaviours and society that otherwise would/might have gone unnoticed. That said, it is also of prime relevance to spurt out these ideas and observations in open forums. Human minds are the brightest biological devices existent and when working in harmony, stunning results can be obtained. The ideas emanating in one mind and backed by an individual set of experiences, when shaped by an entire gamut of diverse brains could climax into a deluge of creativity.
